The Kuyukai Karate Club enjoyed a summer barbeque on August 28, 2005 at the Fraser River Park near Marine Drive, Vancouver. An attendance of over 60 karatekas, families, friends (and pets) from the three Dojos of Whalley, Vancouver, and Richmond came together to share this day. Although the weather was a bit unco-operative at times with ocassional rain showers, it did not dampen appetites or spirits. Food was plentiful with salmon, ribs, wings, and a galore of trimmings, along with self bottled wine to complete the meal. All this thanks to the hard work and organizational Team of Liz, Debbie, and Alanna as well as to Frank for offering his Supreme Truck for transportation and shelter.
