An annual tradition, the Ku Yu Kai Karate club was asked again to participate in this exciting event. Over 100,000 parade watchers linked Vancouver Chinatown to celebrate the arrival of year of the dog. Students from the Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey dojo marched in the parade and performed kata's, kumite techniques and weapons with confidence and karate spirit. The Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan enjoyed the demonstration as the group stopped to perform in front of the head seating area.
